Join the Flying Cows and Coach Dan Prete for an exciting one-day basketball skills clinic! This high-energy session focuses on improving fundamentals, developing advanced techniques, and building confidence through drills, competitions, and gameplay.
The clinic will take place on Saturday, November 29, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Governor Thomas Johnson Middle School. The cost to attend is $65. Campers should bring plenty of water and come ready to play in comfortable basketball attire.
Led by Coach Prete — who brings over 30 years of coaching experience and a proven track record of developing elite players — this clinic is the perfect opportunity for young athletes to learn, compete, and have fun.

Join the Flying Cows players and staff for a fun and competitive day of basketball this fall! Campers will have the opportunity to develop their skills and engage in friendly competitions.
Camps will take place during FCPS school closures, and run from 9 AM to 3 PM, with check-in starting at 8:30 AM and check-out available until 3:30 PM. Please note that lunch will not be provided, so campers should bring their own meals.
Registration costs start at $85 per day. Discounts are available: you can receive a $20 discount when registering for two camps ($150 price) or a $55 discount when registering for all three camps ($200 price). Multi-session discounts will be automatically applied to your cart when you sign up for multiple clinics. Additionally, families with multiple children can save $20 per child. Join the Flying Cows for an exciting one-day basketball skills clinic! This interactive, high-energy on-court experience is designed to help young athletes sharpen their basketball fundamentals while building confidence and having fun through focused drills, competitions, and gameplay.
The clinic will take place on March 20th, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Hood College (601 Blazer Trail, Frederick, MD 21701). The clinic is open to boys and girls aged 7 to 13 and welcomes players of all skill levels.
Participants will work closely with Flying Cows players and coaches through skill stations emphasizing shooting, ball handling, passing, footwork, and defense. The clinic will also incorporate competitive drills and small-sided games to build teamwork, game awareness, and a love for the game.
Each participant will also receive free admission to the Flying Cows game later that day, making the clinic a complete day of basketball, learning, and fun.

Art Claybon, the only person to play and coach Hood College men’s basketball in the NCAA Tournament, is a local basketball legend! A Hood College Athletic Hall of Famer and founder of Zone 24, Frederick’s first basketball training facility, Claybon has trained hundreds of young athletes and leads the grassroots basketball exposure program, Maryland Movement. Steve Custis, a Frederick High School legend and two-time Player of the Year, built an impressive basketball career that started locally and reached the international stage. After starring at Fairmont State University, Steve played professionally for five years in Austria, South America, and Italy, winning three championships, earning MVP honors, and capturing multiple scoring titles.
Passionate about giving back, Steve co-founded Zone 24 with Art Claybon to inspire and train the next generation of athletes in Frederick. The Frederick Flying Cows are thrilled to join Steve for an exciting President’s Day youth basketball camp!

Are you ready to dribble, jump, and score your way through the FCPS break days? Join players and coaches from the new Frederick professional basketball team, the Flying Cows!
The camp will be held Monday Jan 19 and Tuesday Jan 20 from 8 AM to 5 PM. The Flying Cows will be present to share their insights, run drills, and coach our young players to become better players, increasing skill. We will also focus on what it means to be great teammates who build relationships and work together, boosting each other’s confidence.
Camps will take place in our Downtown YMCA building and the Sports Warehouse, which is just a short walk away. Campers must bring their own cold lunch (refrigeration is not provided), a water bottle, athletic shoes, and a positive attitude. The Y will provide an afternoon snack.
