The Flying Cows are back with our 2nd Annual COWFEST! This year we’re setting our sights on a world record — the most people dressed in cow onesies at one time. Last year we came incredibly close with 1,048 participants, and this year we’re going all the way!
What is COWFEST? COWFEST is the Frederick Flying Cows’ one-day family and fan fun festival — a celebration of all things Frederick, community, and of course… COWS! Held at The Great Frederick Fairgrounds, this all-ages event features:
Tickets
Onesies
Tickets are required to enter the event. All listed prices do not include additional taxes and fees. All sales are final. No refunds, exchanges, or transfers will be issued for any reason. This is a rain or shine event.
The Frederick Flying Cows and Flying Cows Foundation have teamed up with the Mental Health Association of Frederick County as the official non-profit partner and financial beneficiary of COWFEST 2026!
A portion of revenue raised from the event will be donated back to MHA to help support mental health in Frederick.
There are multiple ways to order your official Flying Cows Cow Onesie:
Wondering what to wear to be apart of the world record count? COW PRNT, duh!
Easy answer… an official Flying Cows Cow Onesie! Onesies are available to purchase before the event and on site at the event.
If a onesie is not possible, any full cow print outfit will be counted. This includes shirts, hats, jackets, inflatables, any and all cow print! Make sure to dress up… don’t be “that guy” 🙂

Current World Record: “The largest gathering of people dressed as cows is 1,352 participants at the Cow Muster (Australia) during the Deja Moo Country Fair in Cowaramup, Australia, on 12 July 2014.”
Last year, Frederick fell just short of breaking the world record with 1048 cows at the event. This year… the record is ours!
The official event schedule will be released closer to the event in October. Stay tuned!
Attendees should plan to be on-site for the duration of the event, with the official onesie group photo/count taking place at around 5:00pm! (subject to change).
