We need your help naming the beast! After continuous brainstorming, vigorous research, and conversations with respected leaders and members throughout the Frederick community, we have selected the 4 finalist names.
A shout-out to the thriving Frederick brewery scene and the tenacious black bears that prowl its surrounding mountains. A winning combination!
Cows, a truly MVP animal, are part of the Frederick County landscape. Yet they are often underlooked due to their low-key aura. Flying Cows? Who’s to say it’s udderly impossible?
The Drache is a mythical dragon transported from the German Black Forest by Frederick settlers. Known to be fiercely protective of the entire Frederick community, it’s rumored to hunt in the nearby forests while flying silently at great speeds and sleep curled around one the the city’s many spires.
The Dwayyo is a wolf-like creature that stands and moves like a human. With local reported sightings and hearings of its wolf-like howl going back the 1940’s, the beast is both fierce and highly intelligent and rumored to be the sworn enemy of the Snallygaster.
